The CGIA Institute has announced the launching of an open portal on its website where all its members can verify their membership and status.

The CGIA Institute is a membership-based professional body of finance and investment professionals, setting global standards for ethical investment practices for the finance and investment management industry.

The Institute provides the Chartered Global Investment Analyst (CGIA®) as well as hosts some of the industry’s leading events.

In a statement released by the Institute; “Henceforth, third parties, such as employers and partners, can search for and verify the membership and status of all CGIA members globally.”

It further explains that the outcome of a member’s status could be represented in two ways. Either a member is in good standing or otherwise.

Any member who is in arrears of their annual membership subscription fee will have their status indicated as NOT IN GOOD STANDING. While those that have satisfied all obligations, especially payment of their annual subscription up to the current year, will have their status read as GOOD STANDING.

The Institute, therefore, encourages all its members globally to visit the portal, verify their membership status and take the necessary action where needed.
