James Fried is a finance professional with over 25 years of experience in global treasury, finance, accounting and business operations.
The various positions occupied through his professional career gave him an unusually broad base of experience in all areas of finance, including total quality management, expense control and policy & procedure development. He has outstanding communication skills with proven ability in negotiating agreements and maintaining constructive relations with executive management, banking/lending organizations, and private investors.

He started his professional career in 1987 at GE Capital in Stamford, Connecticut, as an Associate for Financial Management Program (FMP).
Currently, as an independent Finance and Treasury Consultant, Mr Fried performs contract financial assignments for Angus Energy (Oil and Gas Industry), the Archdiocese of Hartford (not-for profit as acting Director of Finance), Accenture Academy (review and revision of online courses as a Subject Matter Expert) and for SK Capital Partner (Private Equity) in areas such as Controller/CFO Services, Treasury and cash management, risk management, payroll, budgeting, financial and M&A advisory services.

Prior becoming a consultant, James worked as Assistant Treasurer at Timex Group USA, Inc. where he was assigned to manage global treasury operations activities, risk and FX management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, credit and collections and corporate travel. He also had roles as Independent Financial Consultant and Regional Treasurer responsible for treasury management and financial operations, HR, credit and collections, budgeting, cash flow forecasting among others.

His areas of expertise include SEC & Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Loan Workouts, FAS 133 and FAS 149, Global Treasury & FX Hedging, Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions, among others.

He is Certified Credit Executive and Certified Cash Manager. James is a member of National Association of Credit Management (NACM) and was appointed as the National Chairman in 2008. He is also a Member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and a member of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).

He holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business & Finance from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Management from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut.
