Nurul Alam has over 40 years of work experience in MNCs. He served in GSK Bangladesh as Internal Auditor and Head of Company Secretariat, He served Egypt-based OrascomTelecom Bangladesh as Company Secretary and Head of Internal Audit.

He served as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of the Netherlands based VEON Ltd’s Bangladesh subsidiary country’s one of the leading mobile operators Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. Currently, he is serving as Deputy Managing Director of Prime Islami Life Insurance Ltd and also a Director in the board of Prime Islami Securities Ltd.

He delivered a speech at the 2018 IIA International Conference held in Dubai from 6-9 May 2018. He is a regular speaker to the Conference, Seminar, Workshops organized by professional institutes. He has received his Master of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Chittagong. Received Fellowship from Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) in 2009. Received global degree of Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional-International (CCEP-I) from Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics, the USA in 2017. He is also a Charterholder of CGIA Institute, USA.

In the capacity of Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, he has spoken in training/seminars and conference and business meetings organized by VEON Ltd.’s subsidiaries in various countries including the Netherlands, Armenia, Egypt, Singapore, Italy, Turkey, and Dubai Etc.

Mr. Alam is a Global Assembly Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc USA, Director in the Board of Governors of IIA Bangladesh. He is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh, Chairman of the Chartered Secretaries in Practice Assurance Committee. He served as a member of Tax, Tariff, and Company Affairs, sub-committee of Foreign Investor Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh.

He’s currently part of the Network Relations Council of the CGIA Institute as well as the country representative of CGIA Network in Bangladesh.
