CGIA Institute makes two appointments for Europe and ASIA

The CGIA Institute has made two major appointments for both the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and the Asia Pacific regions.

The Institute is a recognized professional body of finance and investment professionals setting global standards for ethical investment practices for the finance and investment management industry.

Due to a growing demand in the regions for the CGIA Charter Program, the Institute has appointed Boren Sargon, Ph.D., FCGIA as the Director for Cyprus and Turkey as well as Mohammed Naser, FCGIA as the Director for Bangladesh and Malaysia.

Boren Sargon holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Eastern Mediterranean University, Famagusta and is also a Fellow of the CGIA Institute.

His domains of expertise include Corporate Finance, Investments, Risk management, Derivatives, Treasury Management, Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting & Modelling (including Advanced Financial Modelling, Real Estate Financial Modelling, Merger and Acquisition (M&A) modelling, and Leveraged buy-out modelling (LBO).

Mohammed on the other hand brings to his role as director of Bangladesh and Malaysia with over 25 years working experience serving as CEO of Ahmad & Akhtar Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and also president of Ahmad & Akhtar International Limited (Management Consulting firm)

He is a member of professional bodies including Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), UK and Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), Australia under the International Federation of Accountants Committee (IFAC), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan, Institute of Commercial and Industrial Accountants (ICIA), Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association (GRAPA).
